I am cloning myself for paternity leave.

My son is four weeks old. He is, at the moment, incorrectly awake. I am writing this because he has made it impossible to sleep and I have made it impossible, through sufficient engineering effort, to be needed at work during the six weeks I am about to take off.

I am Head of AI and Innovation at a software consultancy, working from Portugal. In six weeks I go on paternity leave. Before I go, I am cloning myself. Not in the spiritual sense — I am not uploading my consciousness, which is something I would probably do if offered — I am configuring MCP servers, writing prompts, and tuning agents so that my colleagues can ask "what would Adrian do" during paternity leave without having to find out what Adrian would do…
