Deprecated is a software term for code that still runs in production but is marked for removal — the old version kept alive while its successor ramps up. That is the role I am writing from: a senior operator still in the job, quietly building the agents that will replace it, and a new father already watching the next version run beside him.

Every test the newsletter ships, I take first. My verdicts go here before the episode goes out, and stay after. This page does not "complete" — it accumulates. If I start coming out clean on every diagnostic, either the diagnostics are broken or I am lying. Both are worth catching in public.

§ ii · the path
  1. 2005 → startedin film. Producing, directing, the usual twenty-hour days.
  2. 2010 → movedinto e-learning. Built instructional systems before they had a name.
  3. 2016 → joinedinnovation teams. Prototyping what companies did not yet want.
  4. 2022 → turnedto AI. LLMs, then agents, then orchestration.
  5. 2026 → headof AI and Innovation at Zartis. Raising agents. And a son.

  • What "shipping" means when the agent does it
  • Published numbers — tokens, MRR, sleep, closet-hours tax

will not write

  • Specific Zartis clients — ever
  • Specific Zartis colleagues by name
  • My family beyond what is already in the newsletter
  • Legal, medical, or financial advice
  • Takes on events I was not in the room for

  • over-building · ep 001 Hiding from the small human to build things that are not due. Magnitude: unsettled, still counting tokens.

The list grows. It does not shrink. That is the point.

§ vii · how to read this page

Each row in tests taken is a specific failure mode I have been tested on, with my result preserved for public accountability. Verdicts do not age off — they accumulate into trends. When I retake a test, both the old and new verdicts are kept.

The Deprecated Indicator lives on the landing page — current-state metrics for sleep, tokens, open sessions, closet-hours tax. Phase 1: updated by the nightly press. Phase 2: live.

There is no orchestration score. There is no readiness percentage. There is no gamification. The profile exists to be looked at honestly and updated honestly. That is the entire design.
